36 | July - August 2017 | ACOUSTIC LUBRICATION ASSISTANT The new LUBExpert lubrication and greasing assis- tant from SDT combines measurement capabilities with a unique user interface and intelligent algo- rithms to guide lube technicians before, during and after regreasing. It can remind users of the correct lubricant and location, identify the proper inter- val, prevent overlubrication and underlubrication with the right quantity, and provide indicators for lubrication and bearing condition. With only a few machine parameters, the LUBExpert can also mon- itor each stroke of grease and its effects on bearing friction and temperature. SDT 800-667-5325 DIESEL ENGINE OILS Petro-Canada's new heav y-duty diesel engine oils are formulated to meet the latest CK-4 and FA-4 standards set by the American Petroleum Institute (API). Incorporating leading-edge lubricant technology, premium additives and pure base oils, the Duron Next Generation line is available in four performance tiers: Duron HP (high performance), Duron SHP (super-high performance), Duron UHP (ultra-high performance) and Duron Advanced, which will ser ve as the company's API FA-4 approved product and be offered in 10W-30. Petro-Canada 800-668-0220 FLASH POINT TESTERS Stanhope-Seta's new flash point testers allow operators to quickly and reliably test oil samples in-house. The Setaflash Series 3 Testers are suitable for laborator y or portable tests and are ideal for use where space is limited. The compact instruments feature a simple user interface with color digital display and touchscreen icons that guide the operator through a straightfor ward test- ing process. A test typically takes less than 2 minutes to perform and requires just 2 milliliters of test sample. Stanhope-Seta +44(0)1932-564391 HEAVY-DUTY ENGINE OILS The new Rubia Optima engine oils from Total Specialties are intended to help limit carbon- dioxide emissions while improving fuel consumption and oxidation resistance. The lubricants also comply with the new CK-4 and FA-4 specifications defined by the American Petroleum Institute. The Rubia Optima 1100 15W-40 and 1100 FE 10W-30 both meet the new CK-4 spec- ification. The 1100 FE 10-W30 is designed to lower viscosity and offer fuel economy benefits. The Rubia Optima 2100 XFE 10W-30, which meets the FA-4 specification, enables extra fuel economy by reducing high temperature high shear (HTHS) viscosity.
