ACOUSTIC LUBRICATION ASSISTANT
The new LUBExpert lubrication and greasing assis-
tant from SDT combines measurement capabilities
with a unique user interface and intelligent algo-
rithms to guide lube technicians before, during and
after regreasing. It can remind users of the correct
lubricant and location, identify the proper inter-
val, prevent overlubrication and underlubrication
with the right quantity, and provide indicators for
lubrication and bearing condition. With only a few
machine parameters, the LUBExpert can also mon-
itor each stroke of grease and its effects on bearing
friction and temperature.

HEAVY-DUTY ENGINE OILS
The new Rubia Optima engine oils from Total Specialties are intended to help limit carbon-
dioxide emissions while improving fuel consumption and oxidation resistance. The lubricants
also comply with the new CK-4 and FA-4 specifications defined by the American Petroleum
Institute. The Rubia Optima 1100 15W-40 and 1100 FE 10W-30 both meet the new CK-4 spec-
ification. The 1100 FE 10-W30 is designed to lower viscosity and offer fuel economy benefits.
The Rubia Optima 2100 XFE 10W-30, which meets the FA-4 specification, enables extra fuel
economy by reducing high temperature high shear (HTHS) viscosity.
