Seventh & Dolores Brings Sizzle and Steak to Carmel B Y C H R I S T I N A - L A U R E N P O L L A C K E ntrepreneur and owner of Folktale Winery & Vineyards, Greg Ahn, along with key team members, VP of Hospitality John Fitzgerald and VP of Culinary Operations Todd Fisher, recently expanded by opening Seventh & Dolores, a siz- zling new steakhouse in Carmel-by-the-Sea. For 13 years, Ahn walked by the corner-front building thinking, "That should be a restaurant." Fast forward to December 2016, when Ahn was "looking for a way to be part of the community downtown" and he got the opportunity to buy the newly established restaurant from property owner, Jeff Peterson. The restaurant will operate under Ahn's recently-formed management company, Field Day Hospitality, and offers both brunch and din- ner and a private dining room for special events. To manage the operations, they brought on renowned local talent, Chef de Cuisine Jeremiah Tydeman, Pastry Chef Heidi Saterlee, and Managers Jaime Morales and Joe Valencia. Ahn and his team turned the airy building into an upscale space that exudes contempo- rary luxury. They're turning up the heat on the culinary scene with a gourmet surf and turf menu, a "raw bar" featuring "contemporary seafood" and uniquely crafted fresh cocktails. Delectable desserts like the Campfire S'mores come served on a platter under a dome cover and pine-scent- ed smoke literally wafts out from the plate. It's entertaining on a sensory level to say the least. To learn more, visit www.7DSteakhouse.com or call 831/293-7600.
