fully breed them. Come Breeders' Cup Day,
the zoo's newest exhibition, Africa Rocks,
will be fully operational. Africa comes to
San Diego at the exhibit, as not only are the
animals ones found in Africa but their hab-
itats and the surrounding areas are built to
look as natural as possible. Just a few of
the animals you'll see: African penguins, le-
murs, leopards, velvet monkeys, meerkats,
mongooses.

San Diego has been called the "Craft Beer
Capital of America." There are more than
125 craft breweries in the area, more than
any region. While that may not impress
those of us who will choose a Budweis-
er over an Arrogant Bastard Pale Ale (yes,
that's the real name of a craft beer) every
time, there's no denying the craft beer
phenomenon. And San Diego is its epicen-
ter. There are plenty of companies that will
shuttle you around to visit a number of the
breweries in the area. If you'd rather go it
alone, the three breweries that are consis-
tently winning awards are Stone Brewing
Company, AleSmith Brewing Company and
Ballast Point Brewing Company.
