Description: PGA Plus is a synthetic, absorbable, sterile surgical
suture composed of braided Polyglycolic Acid and is available
both dyed (D&C Violet No. 2) or undyed. The suture is coated with
polycapro- lactone, calcium stearate and contains ≤ 60 μg/m of a
common antimicrobial agent, chlorhexidine diacetate.
Indication: PGA Plus is indicated for use in animals in general soft
tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic
procedures, but not for use in cardiovascular and neurological surgery.

colonization
• Coated for smooth passage through tissue and easy knot tie down
• Easy handling and secure knot tying
• Minimal tissue reaction
• Absorbable by hydrolysis
Warning: Sutures should not be used if package is opened or
damaged or if the expiration date has been exceeded. Discard open
unused suture. Do not resterilize; resterilization may alter the physical
properties of this suture, which will result in an adverse patient reaction.
