PLUS sutures are coated with the proven antibacterial agent, chlorhexidine
diacetate, that results in a zone of inhibition around the suture in vitro.
The antibacterial agent is recognized as being effective in vitro against bacteria
such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA and MRSE
(methicillin resistant).
