Her work includes coordinating and advocating the Transamerica position on life insurance, financial services, tax, and retirement security issues. De Cervens also serves as treasurer for the Transamerica Political Action Committee. NEW MEMBERS The Development Department would like to welcome the following new members to the Capitol Committee, and thank all our members for their continued support and generosity, which allowed us to bring in nearly $1,100,000 in Capitol Committee memberships alone last year! The Business Roundtable (August 2012: $10,000 Constantino Brumidi Society) Walmart (July 2012: $25,000 Leadership Council) Prior to joining AEGON USA (Transamerica) in 1998, de Cervens served for six years as asso- ciate general counsel with PHH Corporation, concentrating on employee benefits, executive compensation, securities, and government affairs matters. She started her career follow- ing law school with the Baltimore, MD law firms of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes and Miles & Stockbridge where she specialized in securities law. De Cervens received her law degree from Tulane School of Law and her BA from Boston College. She is a member of the Maryland Bar. De Cervens is married and has two daughters (ages 8 and 12), one dog, and two guinea pigs. She is an avid skier. Jeanne was a history major in college, making her a perfect fit to work closely with us at the U.S. Capitol Histori- cal Society.
