Reflecting over the course of the past year, it has been a rough one not only for myself, but for many close friends and family members as well. It's been a year of facing big life changes, and contemplating intriguing questions such as: "Are you looking to make a new ending by creating exciting new beginnings?" To quote Steve Jobs, "The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life." Whatever you may want to change in your life, make uncertainty your best friend this New Year. Learn from your mistakes. Don't take it personally. Raise your awareness to know that every day is an opportunity to fully comprehend that the past is gone. Those memories will never repeat themselves the same way. Old habits and patterns can't hold you prisoner, but can encourage you to move forward in new ways, especially at the turn of the New Year when the entire planet is going through a re-boot with resolutions and plans for positive changes. Get excited about things that have never been, by creating new dreams that encourage you to move ahead. What if the anticipation of becoming a relentless learner was the fuel you needed to become curious and enthusiastic in your new direction? Look for the people and things that make you shine. Move forward with joy and enthusiasm and surround yourself with those who bring out the best in you. New beginnings are most certainly always exciting times!
