Atrium offers several nutraceutical brands, including Garden of Life and Pure Encapsulation. Atrium will become part of Nestlé Health Science, and Peter Luther, Atrium president and chief executive officer, will continue to lead it. Nellson acquires Genysis ANAHEIM, CA—Nellson Nutra- ceutical, a branded and private-label CDMO of nutritional and functional powder products, acquired Genysis Brand Solutions, Salt Lake City, UT, which manufactures functional powders. Genysis will operate as a subsidiary of Nellson. The combined company will have five manufacturing and R&D facilities. The report found that the five most popular types of supplements are vitamins/minerals, specialty supplements, herbals/ botanicals, sports nutrition, and weight management. Of those who don't take dietary supplements, 45 percent said they'd consider taking them if a doctor recommended it.
