After a successful inaugural year, the second annual CPhI North America Conference will take place April 24-26 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, PA. Organizers anticipate more than 7,400 pharma- ceutical professionals representing 43 countries to attend. Approximately 635 exhibitors will show their prod- ucts, technologies, and services on the 93,500-square-foot exhibition floor. This year's technical conference offers three tracks, two of which will explore pharmaceutical manufacturing, outsourcing, R&D, drug delivery, and supply chain topics. The third track is dedicated to recent advancements in bio-manufacturing. Combined, these tracks offer more than 40 hours of educational content. Featured topics include working with CDMOs to expedite formulations, formulating safer opioids, finished drug scale-up strategies, and controlling manufactur- ing quality and containment of high-potency drugs. Admission to CPhI also gives attendees access to several co-lo- cated expositions: InformEx (fine and specialty chemicals), ICSE (con- tract research and development), InnoPack (packaging), BioPh (bio- pharmaceuticals), P-MEC (pharma- ceutical equipment), and FDF (fin- ished drug formulations).
