She also works in shifts around her growing family which includes two daughters and two step-sons. Over 70% of Fercho's works are commissioned pieces where her clients choose the palette, size, and subject matter. While some artists might think this stifles creativity, Fercho finds it stimulating. "I enjoy the energy from doing a piece specific to my clients: their personality, their home, their vision. I've always said my gallery pieces are little Trojan Horses people bring into their home but it's really my commissioned works that are my best works." Her goal for the year is to do more large installations and commissioned work. See her 12 tipis at the Billings Clinic's main atrium. For a more meditative experience, she will be installing a series of 4 paintings at Cloisters on the Platte in Nebraska this spring. Although the show bears her name, Fercho shares her venue downstairs at the Celtic Cowboy with artists Kevin Rose, Ron Russon, and PJ Smith. "We are also including artists new to the show: Matt Flint, Kelly Pates, and Alesha Rogness," says Fercho. 2018 marks Fercho's eighth consecutive year contributing a painting in the live auction. Watch for her painting entitled "Fast Horse" when you go! A portion of the show's sales will be designated for Benefis Hospital. It's just one more opportunity to pay it forward during Western Art Week. March 15-19 10am-10pm
