perfect crust, and is served alongside a delicious potato pave
(think of it as a scalloped potato brick). It definitely gets
extra points for presentation.
Chances are you'll be plenty stuffed by the time dessert
rolls around, but that's no excuse to skip it—find the room.
Woodberry does dessert as well or better than anything
else it does. The Good Ol' C.M.P. is a high-end take on a
hot fudge sundae with marshmallow and peanuts, and the
butterscotch pudding with maple toffee is beautifully light
and silky. Many desserts are served alongside or underneath
a variety of homemade ice creams or sorbets (of course),
perhaps none more perfectly than the buckwheat honey
tart. Accompanied by berries and granola, its harmonious
marriage of flavors, textures and temperatures is what every
dessert should aspire to be.
With brunch on the weekends and an ever-changing menu,
nobody would fault you for taking a second trip to Woodberry
before leaving town. Who knows—you might even get some
free preserves out of it.
