Quality Care As an accredited facility by the American College of Surgeons��� Commission on Cancer, the hospital participates in collecting data regarding cancer patients diagnosed and treated at our facility. These quality measures are endorsed by the National Quality Forum. In the tables below, Kishwaukee Community Hospital���s performance data is compared to other facilities in Illinois and nationally. The Kishwaukee Community Hospital Cancer Committee is pleased to present the following quality reports for data collected on care provided in 2010, the most recent available data. The tables below show the percent of our patients who received the standard of care therapy in de���ned types of breast and colorectal cancer compared to state and national data. Breast Cancers Diagnosed 2010 Colorectal Cancers Diagnosed 2010 (Last update: September 13, 2012) (Last update: September 13, 2012) Combination chemotherapy is considered or administered within 4 months (120 days) of diagnosis for women under age 70 with Stage I, Stage II or Stage III hormone receptor negative breast cancer. Adjuvant chemotherapy (used after the primary tumor has been removed) is considered or administered within 4 months (120 days) of diagnosis for patients under the age of 80 with Stage III colon cancer. When diseased tissue is surgically removed in colon cancer patients, at least 12 regional lymph nodes are removed and pathologically examined.
