"I tend to go for high-quality, dressy clothes that are also functional," the father-of-two says. One of his most reliable go-to outfits also happens to be an American classic. He loves the timeless combination of athletic-cut Levis – don't even ask him what he thinks about skinny jeans – a simple t-shirt, and a Smartwool pullover with a three-quarter neckline zipper. He tends to gravitate towards solid, neutral hues, and you won't find him donning trendy prints or flashy colors. "I don't like busy clothes, and I won't wear anything florescent," Jesse says adamantly. His footwear echoes his professional, yet practical look. "I usually wear comfortable hiking boots, like Asolos," he says. His Reebok crossfits are also a wardrobe staple. And when it's time for a more formal occasion, Jesse turns to Kaufman's in Great Falls. "I really like a nice suit," he says. "Maybe a 3-piece, with a vest and cufflinks." He says he also enjoys having any opportunity to wear his blue pig tie tack, which his father gave to him when he graduated from the law enforcement academy eighteen years ago. "He told me to remember not to take myself too seriously," Jesse laughs. Although the detective's wardrobe selections are his own, he gives his wife, Christie, the final say when it comes to his style. "I do it to impress her," Jesse says. "Her opinion is the only one that matters." S MT
