On a recent trip to London, I decided to try out a dif- ferent pub on each of my three nights, ordering the same meal at each (fish and chips, since you asked) to see which was best (Scoff and Banter, in Kensington, which, while not officially a pub, serves a pub menu of `hearty British classics.') It was so much fun that I thought it was worth expanding into a story, and as- signed the lucky Chris McGrath to do it up right. He has come up with a pub a day for the Royal Ascot meeting. Save room for dessert. At Gulfstream, we talk to Aca- cia Courtney, whose hard work—and charitable foun- dation—make her an impressive force to reckon with in racing.
