The acoustics of the airy, elegant front bar are such
that no matter how lively the atmosphere, you never
feel as though you have to shout to be heard. That
works for an older, more relaxed crowd than some of
our previous destinations. If anything, the dining area
towards the back can feel a little staid—so, granted a
long, hot summer evening, see if you can grab a table
on the terrace outside. It's a lovely quiet street, and
very soon all will be right with the world.
