Toronto is a sports city with teams such as
the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors,
Toronto FC, Toronto Blue Jays, and Toronto
Argonauts (Canadian Football League). Ma-
ple Leaf Sports & Entertainment owns the
Leafs, Raptors, FC, and Argonauts.
Real Sports Bar & Grill is located in the
downtown core, adjacent to Air Canada
Centre, home of the Leafs and Raptors,
and part of a square where fans of the
teams congregate to watch them in play-
off games.
Real Sports was voted by ESPN as the num-
ber one sports bar in North America. It is
also Toronto's premier sports bar and grill.
The slogan is "at Real Sports Bar & Grill,
our game is your game." It might also be
"bigger is better." It is two stories high and
features a 39-foot HD big screen and 199
HD TVs and encompasses 25,000 square
feet. There is a bar just below the big screen
that has a surface that looks like a sheet of
ice.
I went there the day of the Preakness,
which was featured on the big screen, which
was immediately followed by a Stanley Cup
playoff game between the Washington
