STOPs & STARTS USA Hockey News & UPDATES The U.S. Junior Select Team enjoyed success at the World Junior A Challenge, sweeping its way to the title. U.S. Junior Select Team V ince Hinostroza triggered a dominating performance by the U.S. Junior Select Team that swept its way to the title with a 6-3 victory over Canada West at the 2012 World Junior A Challenge in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Hinostroza, who plays for the Waterloo Blackhawks, led the tournament with six goals, and was three times awarded the player of the game. His teammate Eamon McAdam was equally impressive between the pipes, finishing with a 4-0 record with a 2.18 goals-against average and .927 save percentage. ���This was a complete team victory,��� said Brett Larson, head coach of the U.S. squad. ���We got goals from our big scorers, everyone blocked shots, and our goaltender made key saves. ��� I���m extremely proud of this group.��� The victory marked the fourth title in five years for the U.S. squad that consisted predominantly of the top players from the United States Hockey League. ���I���m Extremely proud of this group��� ��� Brett Larson, Head Coach of U.S. Junior Select Team Team USA Sledge Hockey Champs!
