After completing its USHL schedule, the U.S. National
Under-18 Team will return to international action in
April as it looks to win its fifth straight IIHF Mens World
Under-18 Championship title.
The U.S. Junior Select Team enjoyed success at the World
Junior A Challenge, sweeping its way to the title.
The United States used a little home cooking and
some balanced scoring to win its fifth straight title
at the Four Nations Tournament, held at the Ann Arbor
(Mich.) Ice Cube.
Goaltender Thatcher Demko finished the tournament
with a 3-0 record with a 1.67 GAA and .939 save
percentage, including a 22-save performance against
Sweden in the final game.
Tyler Kelleher led the way offensively with six points,
followed by Anthony Louis, who added five points.
Im proud of how we played as a team throughout the
entire tournament, said U.S. coach Don Granato. We
need to build off these games and continue to improve as
