When Bridger traveled back east, he loved
to tell stories about all the extraordinary
things he had seen. Jim liked to exaggerate a
little, and with each telling he added a little
bit more exaggeration. In time, folks couldn't
tell what was true and what wasn't.
All the same, those city folk were fascinated
and loved to hear about the adventures of the
mountain men.
