We've been blessed to be able to coordinate industry-leading events for a quarter of a century, and here's what we learned: From our early years running the Practicing Oil Analysis event in the '90s, we learned the logistics of how to run an effective event. From the heady days of the early '00s we learned the value of having a variety of speakers and a robust exhibit hall. From the Reliable Plant events following the 2008 recession, we learned how to streamline our processes and to identify and provide what our attendees value most. And from our post-COVID events we've learned what could be the single most important lesson yet: our people love coming together! Virtual events have their place, and video calls can work in a pinch, but when it comes right down to it, there's nothing that can quite replace meeting face-to-face.
