A Natural Twist
I
n a 5,000-square-foot custom storage space in Monterey, Gordon and Molly McCall meticulously
display a wide range of beautiful objects: from vintage motorcycles, to classic cars, to Molly's lumi-
nous botanical images embedded into aluminum, glass, Plexiglas, silk screens, paper and other materials. The
enthusiasm for all of the above is shared equally by the couple, who are each other's biggest support.
Molly's art—such as hand shaped glass plates imprinted with manipulated images of real
flowers and birds—has twice appeared in Architectural Digest, and she was invited last
year to be an artist on display at the magazine's annual Home Show in New York.
"None of the people we hired to build my booth showed up," Molly recalls. "Gordon
built everything, he painted the walls and hung the 27 pieces. He is so precise and
helped me so much."
