for the remaining drive to
Reno.
The next and final
day of our drive featured
a mountainous climb
over Donner Pass. The
interstate traffic increased
dramatically once we hit
California. We stopped in
Sacramento for lunch, using
the opportunity to visit
the state capitol building.
The remaining drive to
Monterey was bumper-to-
bumper traffic. Up to now
we had not seen a single
Porsche during our trip, but
once we hit California there
were plenty of Porsches on
the road. As we pulled in
to our hotel parking lot in
Monterey, Hiromi let out a
large sigh and exclaimed,
"We made it!"
After checking in we
caught up with my sister
Lori. The remainder of the
day was spent unpacking,
cleaning up our cars, and
having a nice dinner together
as a family.
Monday dawned bright
and early. The highlight of
the day was the Concours
