Department of education. her research included the study of health delivery practices in Japan, china, thailand, Mexico, south africa and throughout West africa. blackwell founded and served as chairperson of the herman t. and Ruth K. blackwell foundation, a nonprofit charity established for improving the quality of life for communities. she is survived by her daughter and son. Maureen A. Bohnsak, '75, MS '76, MD '80, of chicago, died on aug. 16. she was a wonderful mom and pediatrician. bohnsak is survived by her loving children, Matt and amy Jennings. Linda Mary Cooley, MD '85, of Muscatine, iowa, died on nov. 4, 2013. a native of Waterloo, iowa, cooley practiced there and in Muscatine. she is survived by her mother, two sisters and two brothers. Laura B. Clay '97, DO, Res '03, of bloomington, ill., passed away, nov. 27, 2013. born in champaign, clay completed her residency through the coM in Peoria with the Methodist Medical center and was employed by osf Medical Group in clinton and heyworth. she is survived by her parents and her son.
