musical director, Tommy Faragher, and local
musician Bill Hopkins and his band. Eastwood
introduced the young actor to start the evening,
and Young shared stories with audience mem-
bers between tunes. Guests also enjoyed dinner
and dancing.
Tehama General Manager Sue Carota calls
the event one of the most successful gatherings
held at the club.
"All the members were swaying to the music,
and everyone was very comfortable singing
along," she says. "There were a lot of smiling
faces."
Young continues juggling a busy schedule
after his Carmel trip, and after the 2014 releas-
es of "Jersey Boys" and his new album, "My
Turn." President Barack Obama appointed the
Grammy-winning ar tist to the President's
Committee on the Arts and Humanities in
2013. That means Young, together with Forest
Whitaker, Sarah Jessica Parker, Elton John and
other celebrities, is promoting artistic opportu-
nities for students in underserved school dis-
