My thoughts on collection development for large print:
Recent articles and statistics are popping up saying
that readers still prefer print over eBooks. And
as the general population ages here in the United
States, I feel that there is a healthy market for
large print books. So our library continues to
actively develop our large print collection. We
attempt to create a collection that is an extensive
representation of significant authors. I think
that having a variety of authors, titles, subjects
in large print is important as we try to anticipate
and exceed our customer expectations for the
collection. I think that our offerings in large print
need to mirror the offerings in regular print and so
we work very hard to make that happen.
