July / August 2015 20 plenty of back to black on this part and wipe off. (see picture) Also the intake vents on the rear fender will have black louvers that will need be cleaned with back to black. (see picture) 1f. The rear bumper will have three or more black areas on them, on the Boxster you will have the bumper guards, the black on the back of the spoiler and the license plate lights. You will have to lift your spoiler up to clean the black paint on the back of it. The bumper guards can come off to clean them if you want. I also like to remove the license plate at this time to clean the whole area. (see picture). The license plate lights will also come off to be cleaned. The area above the license is almost always missed and may be very dirty. Clean this up before reinstalling parts. That should cover all the black trim and black plastic but Porsches vary so there may be some more black areas to do on some cars. 2. Door, hood and trunk jams. 2a. The door jams will be the hardest of these areas so we will start with them. Most Porsches have black plastic panels that have the hood and trunk release on them, clean these first. I like to use a cleaner wax to remove the scratches your shoes put on the front of these panels first then clean them with back to black and wipe off. The back and bottom of the door jam can be waxed just the same as the car finish. The front of the door jam is a little harder. I start by twisting a wash cloth around a toothbrush covered with wax so you can get into all the areas on both the door jam and front part of the door. (see picture) After you have waxed up all the area replace the wash cloth with a clean one and start buffing out the wax. This can take several hours of work if the doors have not been cleaned for awhile. Then wax under the door itself all the way to the back of the door and then buff off the wax. 2b. The hood jams are usually fairly clean so a light waxing will get them looking new. If they have grime buildup use a cleaner wax to remove this grime, I still like to finish with P21 wax. This is the time to wax the underside of the hood also. I recommend using a finishing spray to do the underside of the hood mainly because it is very hard
