College of Business The College is currently searching for candidates for the following positions: • up to Associate Professor, Accounting: Taxation (Search #2.07, closing November 1, 2007) • Assistant Professor, Decision Sciences (Search #3.07, review of applications will begin Fall 2007) • up to Associate Professor, Finance (Search #4.07, review of applications will begin September 15, 2007) • Assistant Professor, Management: Entrepreneurship (Search #5.07, closing November 1, 2007) • Assistant Professor, Management: Strategy (Search #6.07, closing October 1, 2007) • up to Associate Professor, Management: Strategy (Search #7.07, closing October 1, 2007) POSITION: Full-time tenure-track position in the above areas. The position requires the effective teaching of the graduate and undergraduate courses. A successful record of applied research in the area is also expected. Salary and rank is competitive and dependent on qualifications. APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: see above, or until filled. APPOINTMENT DATE: Fall Semester 2008 QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in business with a specialization in the areas listed above or a closely-related discipline from an AACSB accredited school or equivalent (degree must be awarded prior to August 1, 2008). A clearly demonstrated record of effective teaching, as well as significant research promise in area of emphasis or closely- related area. Demonstrated success in teaching and research is a plus. Additional competencies (business/ management experience, on-line course delivery, consulting, etc.) are plus factors. Awareness of, and sensitivity to, the educational goals of a multicultural and socially diverse urban university population. THE COLLEGE: The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The college offers MBA, EMBA, MSBA and BS degrees and serves approximately 600 graduate and 4,300 undergraduate students. Courses are offered both day and evening.
