Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, one of the four- teen universities comprising the State System of Higher Education, invites applications and/or nominations for the posi- tion of DEAN OF THE COL- Cornell University's accredited Undergraduate Business Pro- gram is recruiting for two positions in marketing. These new positions offer an outstanding opportunity to work with the program's 700 bright and ambitious undergraduate busi- ness students, as well as outstanding faculty in one of the world's premier universities. Associate Professor or Professor of Marketing Cornell University's Undergraduate Business Program seeks applicants for a tenure-eligible position in marketing, with a focus on behavioral marketing. Evidence of outstanding research productivity and an interest in actively contributing to the program's long tradition of excellence in teaching and advising is desired. This position is expected to lead to a named professor opportunity following a $20 million capital campaign, which is currently underway. Assistant Professor of Marketing Cornell's Undergraduate Business Program also seeks ap- plicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in marketing, with a focus on behavioral or quantitative mar- keting. Evidence of research quality and productivity is desired, and applicants should be oriented towards an academic career of scholarship at a leading Ivy League research university. The Dean is the chief administrator of the College and reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. As the College's chief academic and administrative officer, the Dean is responsible for all aspects of college leadership, plan- ning and operations, enrollment management, recruitment and devel- opment of faculty and staff, academic standards, technology and developing a planning process to secure AACSB accreditation. The Dean has specific responsibility for maintaining the strong teaching orientation of the college through support of faculty development and scholarship appropriate to its mission within a collective bargaining environment. The Dean is expected to play an active role in enhanc- ing the external relations of the college through continued develop- ment of strong corporate relationships, collaborative programming, participation in regional economic development, fundraising, and community services. The successful candidate will hold an earned doctorate in an appropriate business field and demonstrate a record of effective teaching and significant scholarship. Applicants shall demonstrate their administrative ability by addressing the needs of students and faculty, understanding the evolving nature of business curricula, and AACSB standards, providing leadership in a technologically advanced environment. Candidates shall demonstrate personal lead- ership and communication skills, creativity, enthusiasm, an ability to accomplish goals and a willingness to work effectively with all con- stituencies. The successful candidate must have a commitment to a diverse community and have administrative experience appropriate for the position. Kutztown University enrolls more than 8,200 students in under- graduate and graduate programs. The College of Business employs approximately 32 full-time faculty members serving approximately 1,100 undergraduate and 120 graduate majors enrolled in programs leading to B.S.B.A. and/or MBA degrees. The College of Business includes the departments of Accounting and Finance, Economics, Marketing and Management. The University is located in a pictur- esque rural setting adjacent to the Borough of Kutztown. Two moder- ately large cities, Allentown and Reading, lie within 18 miles of cam- pus. New York, just 90 miles to the northeast, and Philadelphia, approximately 70 miles south of campus, are also easily accessible. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
