January / February 2016 29 Porsche's second reveal was the mid-cycle update to the 991. Ditching the classic high reviving naturally aspi - rated flat six's, Porsche has downsized the 911's motors and turbocharged them in or- der to meet emission and fuel economy standards. Though both models use the same flat six 3.0 liter 9A2 motor, the turbocharging is different leading to 420 hp/ 368 lb-ft torque on the 911S and 370 hp/ 331 lb-ft of torque on the 911. The exterior updates of the 2017 911 are very subtle and take a true Porschephille to recognize. Outside of the new 911's motors, the 911's cabin receives the biggest up - grades with new electronics/ nav/ touch screen and steer- ing wheels. The new 918 in- spired wheel has pdk paddle shift w/ dials in wheel which let you scroll in or out and of nav maps. To me, the 911 S Turbo boost dial looks out of place, otherwise everything is as it seems it should be The Porsche stand also had the insane 500 hp 911 GT3 RS and the new GT4. Both of these cars debuted at the Geneva Auto Show and in - stantly sold out. It is curious to see Porsche continue to parade these cars about when you cannot buy one. And I mean absolutely cannot buy one. That is unless, you en - ter the murky market of way over sticker'dom. The GT3 RS, isn't for sale but you can find a few for $100k
