January / February 2016 30 over sticker if you are lucky enough to have that much disposable income. After a few calls this week, I found two. Both went for $100k over sticker, but they were entertaining offers of $110k over sticker. I've tried to find a GT4 allocation or car since February but appears I am too late to the game. Regarding the GT4, Porsche finally put a 911 motor in the Cayman and let Wizards from Weissach's GT racing department work their magic exploiting the full potential of the Cay - man's mid engine layout. The GT4 borrows a lot of parts from its big brother the 911 GT3 - same brakes, same front suspension. Many say the car has way more brake that it needs. Porsche says the GT4 laps The Ring in 7 minutes 40 seconds or about the same time as the previ - ous generation 911 GT3. And purist rejoice, the GT4 is available in manual trans- mission only. The Rhodium Silver Metallic at the Frank- furt had Carbon Fiber Buck- et Seats and sitting in them, I felt like they fit me like a glove. Almost as they were custom made for me. Porsche does have an an - noying habit of discontinu- ing a car but leaving it on the "build your Porsche website." I don't know how many GT4's I have built on this site, but I have liter - ally been told by multiple Porsche dealers you can- not order one. Arrrggghhh! Even the 911 GT3 is not be- ing built now, despite you can configure it as if you could get Porsche to build one for you. Why Porsche do you tease us so with this build a car, that you wont build for us??!! Regardless, both the GT3 RS and the GT4 are en - gineering master pieces and true enthusiast cars. Trot- ting these exclusive, albeit sold out models, only adds to their mystique. It makes you want them worse. Porsche has that marketing technique nailed. Some market ready cars made their public debuts. My favorite was the Alfa Romeo Giulia. The Giulia is a direct competitor to BMW's M3 and purported to be faster around the 'Ring than the M3. The Alfa's better look - ing and faster sedan had car- bon fiber bucket seats and you literally could not get people away from this car to take a decent picture. It's a stunningly good looking car that makes me want to be un - faithful to the Germans. Jaguar's new SUV, may be oddly called the F-Pace but it's freaking gorgeous. Bentley's tops the charts in conspicuous consumption with its Bentayga. I felt like I needed to borrow a Ro - lex just to be able to sit in it. There are a ton of insane
