Stetson University is accepting applications for the position of Dean of the School of Business Administration for the main campus locat- ed in DeLand, FL. An independent comprehensive university com- prised of the School of Business Administration, College of Arts and Sciences, School of Music, and the College of Law, Stetson has an enrollment of approximately 3,400 students. In addition to the DeLand campus, graduate programs are also offered at Celebration, FL and at the College of Law in St. Petersburg, FL. The School of Business is AACSB-accredited both in Business Administration and Accounting at the undergraduate and graduate levels and enrolls approximately 850 students. The school includes departments in Accounting Information Systems, Decision Information Sciences, Finance, Management, and Marketing as well as nationally recognized special programs in investments, family business, entrepreneurship and SAP. The School offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees (MBA, EMBA, JD/MBA and MAcc.). The ideal candidate will be visionary, with the skills and School of Business abilities to market and enhance the standing and reputation of the School of Business Administration – locally, regionally, and nationally. As the chief officer of the School, it is expected that she/he will be experienced in fiscal management, performance evaluation, and program assessment. The Dean will have strong academic, research, and faculty development skills, proven fundraising and development skills, and the ability to maintain strong relationships with both internal and external constituents. She/he will have an appreciation for the unique opportunities and challenges of private higher education and an interest in develop- ing and maintaining innovative programs. The University, its faculty, and its students expect the Dean to be committed to quality in both undergraduate and graduate pro- grams, with teaching excellence as a priority and research in sup- port of the mission. We desire a Dean who is ethical, enthusias- tic, collaborative, innovative, energetic, and a creative leader who is dedicated to the importance of interdisciplinary, multicultural, and gender concerns. Candidates should have professional experience as a Dean, Associate Dean, or proven administrative experience, preferably in private higher education. Experience with the AACSB accredi- tation process is essential. Candidates should have an earned doctorate in a business discipline, with an academic record that warrants appointment as full professor. Provost and Dean of the College The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, invites applications and nominations for the position of Provost/Dean of the College. Founded in 1842 and located on a 130-acre campus in historic Charleston, The Citadel is one of thirteen public, senior institutions within the South Carolina state system of higher education. It is a fully accredited, comprehensive, coeducational college offering undergraduate and graduate degrees through the Schools of Business, Education, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science and Mathematics. As the chief academic officer of a teaching institution, the Provost/Dean of the College provides leadership in all academic areas, including cur- riculum, instruction, research and other scholarly activity, accreditation, public service, and information technology. He or she ensures the pri- macy of academics in the College while respecting its military traditions and understanding how the military environment supports the education of the whole person. The Provost/Dean of the College reports directly to the President and acts as the chief executive of The Citadel in his absence. He or she has re- sponsibility for planning academic budgets and collaborating with the President and others in legislative relations and fund-raising. In addition, he or she coordinates institutional-level decisions and policies involving planning, personnel, finance, facilities, communications, and cadet/ student activities before they are acted upon by the President. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. or other terminal degree, have a strong record of teaching and scholarly achievement, and possess at least four years of successful experience in senior-level academic leadership, preferably at a public institution of higher education.
