Alfred University is an independent, coeducational institution founded in 1836. Located on a scenic 232-acre campus in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains just over an hour's drive from Rochester, New York, the University includes the College of Business, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering and Professional Studies, and the New York State College of Ceramics. The Dean will provide academic leadership to 16 full-time faculty in a College which enrolls 250 full-time undergradu- ates and 30 part-time and 15 full-time MBA students. As the College is undergoing AACSB affirmation of the BS degree and initial accreditation for the MBA program, candidates to this position must have familiarity with the AACSB process.
