POSITION: Dean, B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration, AA3-01 QUALIFICATIONS: • Earned doctorate or equivalent with established record of intellectual contributions; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service; • Successful administrative experience in an academic or corporate setting, includ- ing personnel and budgetary experience; • Evidence of effective community involvement and leadership; • Commitment to advancement of women and minorities; • Commitment to student achievement and faculty development; and • Ability to generate external funds. RESPONSIBILITIES: The University of Louisiana at Lafayette invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. Reporting to the Academic Vice-President, the Dean is responsible for the academic and administrative leadership of the five departments of the College as well as the Center for Economic Development and Business Research (SBDC and MBDC). The position requires someone who can work collegially with students, faculty, staff and alumni, represent the College effectively to the University and interact positively with public and private sectors of the community. The Dean is expected to bring a commitment to community outreach by continuing to increase external support for the College's programs and to expand connections and partnerships with its alumni and local businesses. ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT: The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is one of eight publicly supported universities governed by the University of Louisiana System. It consists of ten degree granting units: The Colleges of Applied Life Sciences; the Arts; Liberal Arts; Business Administration; Education; Engineering; General Studies; Nursing and Allied Health Professions; Sciences; and the Graduate School. The University has an enrollment of 16,000 students with a faculty of 525. The University offers undergraduate degrees in 60 disciplines, the master's degree in 28 disciplines, and the doctorate in 8 disciplines. The B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration consists of five academic units in the disciplines of Accounting; Business Systems, Analysis and Technology; Economics and Finance; Management; and Marketing and Legal Studies. The College has an enrollment of 2,500 students with faculty of 58. In addition, there is an MBA enrollment of 195 students. The College is accredited by AACSB International and a faculty driven effort for reaccreditation is underway. The faculty is well published and committed to teaching excellence. SALARY: Competitive, depending upon qualifications and experience.
