A regional economic plan designed to attract new economic base jobs to the area recommends business attraction efforts focus on (a) research and development; (b) precision manufacturing; (c) aviation-related industries; (d) the after-market automobile industry; (e) biosciences and agriculture and (f) warehousing and distribution services. Although the city will focus its efforts on these opportunities, other targeted industries could be eligible for considerations for these incentives under the policy. Interstate I-17, State Hwy. 69, State Hwy. 89A. Regional transportation facilities within Prescott, Prescott Valley and Chino Valley include: • Truck freight lines through Prescott • I17 is 37 miles southeast of Prescott, accessible by State Route 69. • Interstate 40 is approximately 50 miles north of Prescott, accessible by State Route 89. • United Parcel Service and Federal Express provide Prescott with air freight service and daily parcel service. Air Transportation Prescott Regional Airport (PRC), also known as Ernest A. Love Field is one of the nation's busiest General Aviation Airports. Equipped with a 7,616 x 150 ILS-equipped primary runway and served by an FAA-operated tower, the airport serves both commercial traffic and many flight schools, including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Prescott Regional Airport offers direct flight service to Ontario Airport in California; and to Denver International Airport in Colorado. Prescott Regional Airport is serviced by Great Lakes Airlines (United Airlines) Great Lakes Airlines provides daily direct flights to and from Ontario, CA (ONT), Farmington, NM (Durango, CO), and Denver, CO. Prescott Airpark Prescott Regional Airpark & Commerce Centers is zoned for a wide range of industrial light uses, including manufacturing, avionics, and is currently involved in the development of 125 acres.
