3 Creating an Accounting and Accessing the System • Go to http://cmich.experience.com. • Create an account and complete profile data – KEEP YOUR PROFILE UPDATED! • Already have an account? Log in using the username and password you created for your Career Central account. Upload a Résumé (required to apply to positions and to publish in résumé books) • Log into your Career Central account. • In the Documents tab select Upload a Document. • Choose the document type and click Next. • Click Choose File to locate the document (you are uploading) and click on Upload. • Click on publish your résumé to m ake your résumé viewable to employers and for the CMU Career Services office to refer to employers for relevant positions. Scheduling a Mock Interview • Log into your Career Central account. • Click on CMU Career Services Mock Interview Program logo. • Choose either Mock Interview (traditional, face-‐to-‐face) Skype Mock Interview. • DO NOT click on the dates listed – SCROLL PAST THESE!! • Read the important information under Description • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Apply. A résumé must be uploaded in order to see the Apply button. • Select your résumé from the drop down list and click Submit. • Scroll through the available dates and times, and click on the button next to the date and time you would like to schedule your interview. • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save. Applying for On-‐Campus Interviews * • Log into your Career Central account. • Click on the Click Here for On-‐Campus Interviews button on the homepage, then click Search. • Click on the job title to review specifics about and apply to jobs before the Apply Deadline date. • Check your active applications folder regularly for the status of your applications. Search for Jobs, Internships, and Co-‐ops • Log into your Career Central account. • Keyword and one-‐click searches can be conducted directly on your homepage. • To search by Job Function, click More search options. * No Show Policy Each semester some registrants fail to appear for scheduled interviews. "No shows" and late cancellations are serious matters. Employers spend considerable time and money to come to CMU; candidates are expected to keep their interview commitments. Once you have signed up for an interview, if you need to cancel for ANY reason you MUST contact Career Services at least three (3) business days prior to the interview date. Failure to do so will result in suspension of your on-‐campus recruiting privileges. In order to restore these privileges an apology letter must be written to the employer and brought to your career advisor. Two no-‐ shows or late cancellations will result in permanent suspension.
