4 WE SUPPORT EACH OTHER Many military commands, federal and postal agencies in the South Hampton Roads region contributed generously to the overall 2015 CFC campaign; thereby, making it a success. This magnitude of kindness continues the fundamental impact within several thousand causes and in the lives of many neighbors who are extremely grateful for the provision of many vital health, human and welfare programs and services. Each federal agency/command, here in South Hampton Roads, should feel incredibly proud that their generosity resulted in just over $3.1 million supporting thousands of great charities and causes. These results also speak highly of the campaign team leadership and the caliber of volunteer commitment in the South Hampton Roads region. This includes the CFCSHR LFCC federal executive board, Coordinators, Key Workers and the respective Federal agency/command Senior Leadership. Although 2015 presented its challenges, more than 400,000 Federal employees across the world, members of the military and postal employees abroad continued to show their duty to our local communities and the world at large by contributing over $177 million to participating charity partners. Because of this sense of duty, the CFC remains the largest and most successful workplace charity giving campaign in the world. CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT 2015 CAMPAIGN! LET'S MAKE IT AN OUTSTANDING 2016 CAMPAIGN!!! All gifts are appreciated! Campaign Results 2015 CFCSHR 2016 DONOR LEADERSHIP RECOGNITION M ike and his wife Susan had a very unique tradition of celebrating each of their wedding anniversaries with a vow renewal. In 2009 they renewed their vows at the top of the Seattle Space needle, in 2010 it was at Niagara Falls and in 2012 it was in front of family and friends the night before Mike left for Iraq. Fast forward one year later; Mike was due to return home. He contacted our organization at Norfolk International Airport to see if he could arrange a surprise vow renewal for him and Susan. With the help of Chaplain Orr from Naval Station Oceana, our charity put together an intimate gathering for the couple, and Mike's 25 battle buddies who had also just come home from Iraq, complete with sparkling apple cider and plenty of wedding cake. Needless to say, Susan got the best anniversary present ever!
