learn. While it was not my best
finish, it was the best wheel to
wheel competition I've had all
season.
Probably the best part about
driving #5 is the number of
people I meet at the track that
remember Greg driving this
car. I never met Greg Wright
personally, but so many people
have shared their racing stories
with me about team Wonder
Dog Racing and #5. Greg was
loved and respected as a racer
and it's been great hearing all
the stories and learning about
all the lives he touched on
and off the track. Racers and
fans alike have shown their
excitement to see #5 back on
the track. Many have reached
out and personally expressed
that it's what Greg would have
wanted. I hope to continue the
legacy of the man and the ma-
chine.
Racing is my new passion.
One of the great things about it
is my dad and I get to take the
journey together. At a spry 69
years old, he is my crew chief
and is starting to get track time
of his own. It is amazing how
a retired race car can bring a
family closer together and
make new memories that ful-
fill a lifelong father and son
dream.
Man, I love my Porsche.
Special thanks go out to Wes
and Karl at RennsportKC.
Without their help I would still
only be dreaming about rac-
ing.
