September / October 2016 4 I n the Porsche world we have some decisions to make; air-cooled vs. water-cooled is probably the primary election, there is also front vs. rear, and don't forget coupe vs. cabriolet. I guess you could even throw in the Targa as an independent if you need a third option. While your choice of Porsche is important, so is your freedom of choice. And, yes it is that crazy season again in our world. It is that time for elections. We are now in full swing into election mode. The candidates are taking their positions and making all the usual high brow comments about the other candidate and slinging mud as quickly as they can. Each handful leads to another headline for the news media. At times, it is great theater and other times like the Three Stooges. The level of discourse is nearly the same as grade school playground. Despite the playground antics the elections are very important and soon they should start to get closer to the big issues and at least take positions on how to advance the country. I pray for a good out come on this election. The KCRPCA also have an upcoming election right here in Kansas City that is much closer to all of us. The Kansas City Region PCA election for new board members for open positions will be coming up in a few weeks and I wanted to let everyone know that this is coming. Every year, the Club President appoints a committee to do a search for potential board members. That committee completes their job and will present that list of potential new board members. Those nominees all have to be in good standing within the club to be accepted. Then the ballots will be sent to the all club members for their review and voting for those positions. To the right is your voting ballot. Please (1) select your candidate, (2) sign, (3) list your member ID, (4) fold and mail. If you are interested in being on the board let us know.
