September / October 2016 49 KC chapter was about. I soon got a phone call from Mr. Agelon T. Jones inviting me to the weekly Saturday morning gathering at Le- Peep. I thought; wow, my Cayman was still in route from Asheville and the KC Porsche Club was already reaching out. I was appre- hensive, but made the early morning gathering as soon as I had my car. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. I felt immediately included! I still contrast our group to the other car clubs I was involved with and this group is by far the most inviting. PCA means it when they say "It's not just the cars, it's the people." We can always do better, but there is so much to offer between the fun drives, so- cial events, and racing. It's really up to you as a mem- ber to jump in and give it a try. I got involved and was invited/elected to the Board after a short time. There is a group breakfast gathering every Saturday rain or shine. It is not un- common for several of us end up caravanning to other cars-n-coffee events around Kansas City. Don't know where to start with the club? Take a look at the KCRPCA web calendar, pick an event and come out! I also highly recommend you come to a breakfast on a Saturday morning. We will fill you in on all the events the club has planned. - JEFF Two years later at LePeep with my new red Cayman GTS Jeff and Jenny Hallam I thought; wow, my Cayman was still in route from Asheville and the KC Porsche Club was already reaching out.
