I don't want to say my goal is to win the
Kentucky Derby, like every horse owner.
It would be great, but I also realize the
mathematics of winning that race and
the chances of winning that race. I want
to be prudent in chasing that dream."
Despite Dubb's laundry list of achieve-
ments and barn full of top horses, he
remains exceptionally humble and gra-
cious.
"I don't crave the spotlight," Dubb said.
"I don't need the attention. Even at Sara-
toga, I kind of, by design, have my box
away from the action, but I realize you
can't avoid it either."
He continued, "It's great. There is noth-
ing I'd rather do than be involved with
racing and racing people. I can't tell you
that I've made money in racing, because
at the end of the day, I haven't. However,
the friends I've made in racing, I wouldn't
trade for the money or anything. The
friends I've met along the way are just the
best and most interesting and we have the
greatest experiences. It's all good."
