Robson – before the
start of April and after the end of
June are best. "The beginning of April
is when our Ascot period kicks off," he
reveals. "It just goes crazy. Our turn-
over rises 130 per cent in those few
months, and it's a very busy time."
Ferner Robson is the proprietor of
Oliver Brown, a gentlemen's outfit-
ters in London's high-end Chelsea dis-
trict, selling traditional formalwear
and contemporary clothing. There are
suits and jackets, with racks of tweed,
linen, silk and wool, and outfits for
the city and the country. A range of
occasions is catered to as well, from
weddings to the races, but thanks to
an appointment as an Official Licens-
ee to UK's Ascot Racecourse, and in
particular the Royal Meeting it hosts
every June, Oliver Brown has found
itself the go-to outlet for attendees.
