What's Your Story? Everyone has their own story. Some give to the Foundation to help America win gold medals and be the best in the world at hockey. American players are leaving their mark at the highest level of the sport as noted most recently by Tim Thomas and Jonathan Quick's Conn Smythe Trophy awards and the fact that the two most sought-after NHL free agents this past spring, Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, were Americans. We now have nearly 25% of all NHL players and 65% of NCAA Division I skaters. Through the work of USA Hockey, I can only see things getting better with future gold medals, awards and increased percentages of NHL and college players. 7 Others give so that more kids will have access to the game, or because they have a passion for disabled athletes becoming involved in the sport. WHAT IS YOUR STORY? If you'd like to submit a "Why I Give" story to be featured in one of our digital magazines, contact Brenna Payne at 719-538-1106, or brennap@usahockey.org.
