It is the first Chagas treatment approved in the USA. The product is manufac- tured by Chemo Research, Madrid, Spain. Chagas disease, or American trypanosomiasis, is a parasitic infec- tion transmitted through contact with the feces of a certain insect, blood transfusions, and from a mother to her child during preg- nancy. It primarily affects people liv- ing in rural parts of Latin America. Dupont expands probiotic pilot site MADISON, WI—DuPont Nutri- tion & Health invested $10 million to expand its probiotic development and scale-up work site here.
