Mary adds, "Our construction site foreman,
Stanley Tatum, was our eyes and ears on our
property. He took the same pride and ownership in
our home as if it was his."
Sporting something for everyone, this
5,000-square-foot home encompasses a timber vault
great room, gourmet kitchen, sauna, 6 bedrooms, 4
bathrooms and a lower level complete with a hand-
crafted billiards table and theater room.
Accompanying these amenities, Klippel says,
"The rear of this log house opens to the vistas with a
timber deck running the entire length of the home."
Hand-made features like the patinaed exhaust
hood, pot rack and chandelier crafted by custom
furniture designer Matt Zbornik abound in the
kitchen and dining area where Steve, a self-
proclaimed "weekend chef," loves to experiment and
unwind.
Mary's favorite feature is the jacuzzi outside the
lower terrace level. She says, "You can spend all day
down there. The lower level has everything
you need!"

A downed Ponderosa Pine was used to craft the staircase handrail. The
flooring is circle-sawn Douglas Fir done by Mike Hanning.
The teak spa tub in the master bath is reached by
stepping on a boulder. The stone was found on the
property and cut to specifications using a concrete saw.
