Combining stone, metal, and wood-look
finishes with sleek fixtures and seamless
glass, designer Shea Pumarejo was
able to emulate the earthy, organic feel
of her bachelor client's beloved outdoors
while maintaining a contemporary edge.
To incorporate all the owner's desired
bathing elements, Pumarejo created
a large curbless shower enclosure
housing a freestanding tub, ceiling-
mounted tub filler, steam shower,
rainhead-style showerhead, traditional
showerhead, body sprays, and a floating
bench. The glass enclosure visually
expands the space while light infiltrates
from a new transom window. Wood-
look cabinetry combines with stone tiles
and rope accents for a rustic feel,
blending seamlessly with the modern
lines of the industrial-mesh pendants,
floating vanity, wall-mounted toilet, and
square recessed lighting. —K.T.
