CHATEAU NOEL He centerpiece of Stonepine Estate, Chateau Noel, was the orig- inal manor house for the Crocker Bank family since its inception in the late 1920's. His private residence is a magniEcent Mediter- ranean-style villa surrounded by twelve formal gardens, a four-hole practice golf course complete with waterfalls, and a Provence-in- spired reflection pond gracing its oak lawns at the gated entrance. It includes eight bedrooms, with extensive public areas. Other houses on property are the Hermes House with two bed- rooms, four Ereplaces, a gym and the Valley Overlook; the Briar Rose with two bedrooms, large entertainment porch and private rose garden. Here is also a New England style Paddock House at the equestrian center with four bedrooms that can be booked indi- vidually. Rates for these houses and the Chateau are from $300 to $2000 per night with packages available for Wine Tasting, Eques- trian Trail rides and Fine Dining.
