T hanks to a valet service that is easy to find, prompt, and courteous, pulling into the Omni Louisville Hotel alerts you immediately to the fact you are in for a luxury experience. It's not until you step inside, however, that you realize the new hotel in downtown Louisville is also actu- ally a love letter, expressed through archi- tecture, art, and design, to the city that surrounds it. Given the hotel's efforts to become a Louisville fixture, it is little wonder that Breeders' Cup Ltd. has selected the prop- erty, which is a mere 10 minutes away from this year's Breeders' Cup World Champion- ships host site of Churchill Downs, to be its VIP participant hotel. The 30-story Omni Louisville Hotel opened in March 2018, offering 612 guest rooms, 225 luxury apartments, and a total of 70,000 square feet that includes ample event space. Those are simply the figures, though, as the attention to detail and care put into representing Louisville are appar- ent from the word go and did not go unno- ticed by those at Breeders' Cup. "It's brand new and a lot of the Omni management from their headquarters in Dallas have told us this is their nicest Omni in the United States," said Bryan Pettigrew, the senior vice president of marketing and sponsorships for Breeders' Cup.
