SiG MT 14 Before Roland Durocher heads off to work each morning, he and his daughter share a ritual – an endearingly simple, yet cherished routine that helps to steer their day in a positive direction. Finley, an elementary school student, discerningly canvases her father's cufflink collection, and selects the perfect pair to set off his look. "I love cufflinks," the Hartelius, Durocher & Winter law firm partner says. "I probably wear my Batman ones the most, and I have my elk ivory ones on today." Finley even gave him a pair she made herself, by gluing her pretty rocks to an old set of cufflinks. Roland tends to sport a classic, professional look of slacks and French-cuffed dress shirts, but he shirks ties and jackets unless he is in the courtroom. He often selects solid-colored shirts in shades of blue, orange, purple, or white, but he also enjoys a variety of bolder-colored pinstripes. "And I would never be caught dead wearing a t-shirt showing through a polo or dress shirt," he admonishes. Roland is also not a fan of sneakers for daily wear. "I almost always wear all-leather shoes, and I especially like shoes with leather soles," he says. "Usually I'm in dress shoes or cowboy boots." Above all, Roland has an affinity for hats – fedoras, trilbies, newsboys, straw hats, Stetsons – and has amassed a collection of about forty different colors and styles. He's especially enamored with genuine fur felt. "I get a lot of compliments on my hats," Roland says with a laugh. "Especially from women over 50, and young people between about 18 and 24 years old."
