Like Casse two tables away, Vercken and Rambaud both
go for the Maradona, a white-cheese pizza with Parma ham
sliced on top. Santa Lucia offers more than a dozen pizzas—
with arugula, cherry tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, and sea-
food. They have pastas, eggplant, and chicken parmigiana.
But like Lyster said, `don't overthink your order.' Riley and
I have settled into a routine of ordering the truffle and Mar-
gherita split, and sometimes just each ordering the Margher-
ita, and saving the TDN coffers a little cash. It's that good.
The Margherita would be considered excellent in Italy; in
France, it's remarkable--far and away the best pizza I've ever
had anywhere in France—with the Neapolitan dough described
earlier on the truffle pizza, topped with chopped San Marzano
tomatoes and big chunks of mozzarella cheese, cooked for a
short time in their super-hot wood-fired brick oven.
