According to show organizers, Chicago is an ideal location for the expo and conference, because the Midwest boasts a growing life sci- ences sector, houses several major pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and employs more than 300,000 professionals in the biosci- ence industry. Organizers anticipate more than 6,500 attendees from every sector of the pharmaceutical supply chain and 670 national and international exhib- itors specializing in drug develop- ment, manufacturing ingredients, fine and specialty chemicals, bioprocess- ing, machinery, packaging, and fin- ished drug products.
